This is the videogame edition of Queenkv’s Aural Fixations. This podcast will take you through the glitchy goodness of videogame soundtracks, level by level. This show features music from Super Mario Brothers, We Love Katamari and more.
My last podcast for the summer and fall is just around the corner. This show features cool, quirky music by Deerhoof, the Killers, Flight of the Conchords and more. Hope you like it!

It’s Summertime. I mixing more tracks to help folks enjoy the warm weather. In addition to the Shins and Deerhoof, my next podcast will feature music by the Killers, the Thermals and more.
My next podcast from California and I remixed a new open/theme song for Queenkv’s Aural Fixations. The Wizard of Oz quote is a nod to my last 2 years in Kansas. Call and Response’s Rollerskate is a nod to my roots in college radio. It was one of the first songs on my playlists for KALX Berkeley. Good times.

This is my first podcast in a while. We just moved back to California. It’s lovely to be in my home state and closer to my friends and family. This episode has some great tracks by Casiotone for the Painfully Alone. There’s also some love for Kansas: my home for the last two years.

It’s almost summer time in Topeka. This podcast features live versions of classic favorites from Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie. This episode also features new favorites…I finally bought a Nouvelle Vauge album. They blew me away when I saw them live at the Hollywood Bowl.
And music by Imogen Heap - a musical genius. During this radio session, she redefines what it means to be a one-woman-band with this beautiful live version of “Just for Now.”

It doesn’t feel like Spring in Topeka…but I suppose we don’t get much of a choice in the cold temps. Today’s episode is about good memories and some rockin’ live music. My cousin saw the Black Eyed Peas in a Vegas concert.
Last weekend, I caught American Catastrophe during the Sonic Spectrum Anniversary Showcase in Kansas City. Good times.

My first show for 2007.
How about that! Listen Now!
It’s stormy outside and Kansas may see some tornadoes this weekend. Eeck.
So for this show, I wanted fun music. The Electrolettes always rock. I also enjoy Ghosty’s feel-good vibes on Clouds Solve It. I was a little disappointed when I saw them in Lawrence last year. But I dig their studio recordings. Maybe I’ll give them a second chance. Maybe.

My Thanksgiving podcast…looking back at home in California.
Listen now!
I had a lovely meal with my honey and Daisy - chicken adobe, Indian potatoes and Mark baked a pumpkin pie. I sampled several tracks from this episode in my car, on my way to work. I popped in some Mates of State for a nod to my current home state of Kansas. But this group also moved to San Francisco. Someday, I’ll follow in their footsteps - I hope. Bonnie Somerville’s “Winding Road’ hit a chord with me. Her lyrics talked about seeing the ocean and California. Read more…
